KatCom started out on Angelfire in March 2003 as somewhere to house my own fics and gorgeous YnM calendar pic of Tsuzuki.   I'd learnt the basics of html off a cheat-sheet in 5 minutes in the middle of the night, and was never intending KatCom to be anything other than my little home on the web.   Then Penny got into Yami no Matsuei, and we decided that KatCom would be her little home on the web, too. The Fanfic archive came about in April 2003 when Starza's fic "The Darkness Within" was removed from fanfiction.net and Elf Asato took her darkfic "Yuuzai" down in protest.   Rinoa and I both thought: "Hey, we need an R and NC-17 fic archive!"   So, what could be better than doing it *together*?   ^_~ In August 2003, the wonderful Evil Asian Genius offered to host us on squidkitty.org.   *Snuzz*   It's ever so nice to be rid of pop-up ads, tight bandwidth restrictions and lack of space!
