FAQ

1. Whose eyes are those on your link banners?
Maria Won(g)'s

2. Does KatCom accept submissions?
  • Fanfiction/features - rarely. We tend to seek out fics and articles that we like and ask for them. However, if you want to submit a fic or an article/essay, email us with the details. Be warned, though - we may say "no".
  • Fanart/wallpapers - yes, as long as it's your own work!
  • Smutty RP logs - yes
  • Anything else - email us and ask!
3. Can I link your site?
Sure, go ahead - no need to ask!

4. Could you put up a link to my site?
Gladly, as long as it's relevant to KatCom (ie Yami no Matsuei, general yaoi/gay fiction etc) - just email us the details. Please do *not* ask us to link hate-sites, though.

5. I'm on 56k and your pages take forever to load - could you make them less graphics-heavy, please?
If KatCom's design proves to be a *real* problem, either because of slow page loading or because you find it impossible to read, please let us know. If there's enough demand for it, we can create an alternative text-only version ("KatCom Lite").

6. Why does such-and-such a page crash my browser?
Most likely it's some kind of funky effects filter I've used. Let me know which page is causing the problem, which browser you are using and what sort of connection you're on (eg 56k or DSL) and I'll try to eliminate the problem.

7. Who does what on KatCom?
  • Katsue - layout/design; most of the coding; general text (unless stated otherwise); most of the image scans and screencaps unless stated otherwise (the Tsuzuki pic on the contents page is taken from The Shinigami Sweet-Shop); assorted contributions; all uploading/updating; most of the requests for fics and fanart etc.
  • Penny - pre- and proof-reading; advice; most of the text on KatCom BDSM; lots of contributions; some of the requests for fics and fanart etc.
  • Rinoa - coding and layout for some of the fics and the "Fanfiction listed by pairing" page; some of the requests for fics; contributions; advice.
  • Chibi-Fox - occasional design advice; the layouts for Starza's "Illusions" trilogy and Scribblemoose's "Devastation".
8. Can I use one of your wallpapers/images in my site/blog layout?
Yes, as long as you give credit for wallpapers and image manipulations and DO NOT direct link *any* images. If the wallpaper or image manipulation is by anyone other than myself, please ask their permission directly.

9. I've got another question/suggestion/comment not dealt with here
Email us!

10. Why haven't you credited me for...?
Ooops, oversight! Email us immediately and we will rectify this!
